PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a central government subsidy scheme for implementing solar panel systems on residential rooftops from 1kW up to 10kW. Subsidy is provided up to a maximum of ₹78,000 for capacities of 3kW and above (capped). Residential homeowners who have high-sunlight, shadow-free roof space and a connection with utility providers (WBSEDCL or CESC) can easily apply for this subsidy.
